Getting Into An Everyday Routine

It's a blessing that there isn't much to report other than life is going on very smoothly and Bella is doing just great. Being past the worst of the symptoms of her illness, we are now just getting into the everyday routine. One thing that she loves is to get her tummy rubs. She just enjoys them so much. She also loves to play a little bit when I come in from an errand and each time she seems to become a little more animated. I think gaining weight has helped her to be stronger overall and better able to handle the heartworm medication.

This second round is so much easier on her since the targets are the tiny little worms. Killing the big worms was the hard part. This disease can all be avoided by faithful use of monthly
heartworm preventative and in this city, I hate to think of how many dogs are suffering from heartworm disease along with everything else that they go through. So many of our citizens
are just not going to give them what they need and many can't afford to give them what they need.

Back at home, Ollie delivered the ultimate insult to Bella.......but Ollie is like that. Yesterday when we all got up, I was in the kitchen making coffee and Ollie was on the floor beside me. Bella wanted to come in but stopped at the den door because the night before they had had
some "negotiations." Ollie remained very calm, looked her right in the eye, then turned his head and yawned!! He is such a riot! What better way to say, "I'm not afraid of you!?"

This picture shows all three of them at the end of the day. Petie and Oliver have already beat me to bed and are telling me to hurry up they are ready to turn in. If you look closely you can see Bella right outside the door....she will be in as soon as she assesses the Oliver Situation :)
